Luna Innovations Announces the Acquisition of OptaSense

Roanoke, VA – Luna Innovations Incorporated (NASDAQ: LUNA), a global leader in advanced optical technology, has announced that it has acquired OptaSense Holding, Ltd. OptaSense, a recognized leader in distributed fiber optic sensing, will join with Luna to form the world’s largest fiber optic sensing company.
Initially formed in 2007 as part of the QinetiQ company, OptaSense is a leading provider of distributed acoustic sensing technology and the acquisition by Luna will further strengthen OptaSense’s position in the market through the combined synergies and relevant market access of the two organizations.
