The OptaSense Traffic Monitoring Solution was selected for a 40km stretch in New Zealand to monitor traffic on State Highway 1 running north out of Auckland. SH 1 is the longest and most significant road in the New Zealand road network, running the length of both main islands. A technical paper, published by the end customer, discusses the advantages a DAS system offers for highway traffic monitoring and describes the aims and goals of our ongoing relationship with them.
