TJC has completed its acquisition of Luna Innovations, the parent company of OptaSense. The transaction became effective on September 18, 2026, beginning a new phase for Luna and its sensing businesses.
For OptaSense customers and partners, our focus remains on delivering distributed fiber optic sensing solutions and the expertise needed to monitor critical assets. OptaSense technology turns optical fiber into a continuous monitoring system, helping operators detect and locate events along pipelines and across security environments.
Continuing to Support Critical Infrastructure
OptaSense will continue to support customers with distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) solutions for pipeline monitoring, leak detection, third-party intrusion monitoring, and perimeter security. These applications give operators timely information to assess potential threats and respond to events along their assets.
As part of Luna’s broader sensing portfolio, OptaSense looks forward to continuing its work with customers and partners worldwide under TJC ownership. We remain committed to helping operators monitor and protect the infrastructure they depend on.
